The FMIA is dedicated to continuing its mission of building more flood-resilient communities and this would not be possible without our generous supporters. Donations and sponsorships are what help drive our efforts and allow us to educate and influence our industry to focus on resiliency.

 

This past year, the FMIA made great strides in our mission, working with numerous communities to build better, strengthen codes and regulations, and to educate home and business owners on their options for flood protection. This is all just the beginning. We know in many areas there is much work to be done, but we are extremely dedicated and optimistic for a successful 2023.
 

In the last 12 months, FMIA was able to work with the US Department of Commerce to promote US made flood products over seas and attend several floodplain managers state and the national conference where we provided education sessions on the coming revolving loan program. FMIA also commented on federal policy under requests for comments processes and advocated for FEMA/NFIP 2.0 to return the full mitigation discount rates from NFIP 1.0.

 

The year begins with the FMIA acquiring a $10,000 per month grant for advertising on Google’s platform. This program will give us resources we need to promote our mission, attract businesses and educators to join our cause, and really make a difference.  Being a sponsor will also help you take advantage of this opportunity by being visible on our new, updated website so you can get deserved recognition, along with many other benefits listed below.
