IASM Congressional Visit

Rod Scott and Randall Behm teamed up with members of the International Association of Structure Movers (IASM) to conduct Congressional visits in Washington DC. Numerous scheduled meetings and additional unannounced office drop-ins were conducted to advocate for the continuation of priority funding for existing and future nonstructural projects from FEMA and the USACE. Studies have been initiated by both agencies and large elevation and floodproofing projects are being advanced through Congress for federal funding. A two-page document, highlighting the FMIA and IASM, was left with each Congressional office. Members of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Environment and Public Works Committee were targeted during this visit to Capitol Hill.
