Department of Commerce Briefing

The discovery of our industry by staff at the US Department of Commerce – DOC required us to provide their leadership with education programming on the issues, increasing flooding and the need to mitigate the impacts of flooding on assets. The USDOC has trade representatives in the Embassies and Consulates that are providing a go between our industry and foreign countries. In the summer, the DOC released an RFI seeking input regarding developing a formal program to help promote US made flood mitigation sector products and services. In November, we are invited to attend a round table meeting in Washington, DC to help get the new program outlined for our needs as an industry.
